Policy Breakfast

CentralNstat Policy Breakfast

The 2024 CentralNStat Policy Breakfast led by the Neighborhood Safety Initiatives (NSI) and NYC Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) brought together New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) residents, community leaders, city officials, and community-based organizations to address quality of life concerns and shape policy grounded in resident experience. As the lead designer, I created the event’s visual identity and executed an exhibition-style gallery walk presented to its more than 300 attendees.

The gallery walk showcased five priority areas identified by residents: Physical Space, Economic Stability, Health & Well-Being, Safety & Justice, and Youth Development. In collaboration with my design colleague and various NSI departments, we created collateral that included fifteen three-by-five-foot station layouts, wayfinding, pamphlets, and swag to present a clear and engaging visual narrative.

The final installation provided city leadership and elected officials with an accessible and immersive way to visualize resident feedback, illuminating critical resource gaps and opportunities for much-needed action across NYCHA communities.
